CHATEAU LA CROIX SAINT PIERRE Cotes De bordeaux - blaye

The name of the château originates from a cross dedicated to Saint Peter, which raises among the vineyard. Rised on the peak of Cars, this cross refers to the magnificent 11th century church of the town, also dedicated to the first pope.

Since 2005, the Vignobles Carreau are members of the two coasts CUMA (Cooperative for the use of Agricultural equipment), that collect and reprocess the estate’s wine effluents. All vineyard is covered with grass between the rows, and all around the plots, in order to preserve biodiversity. True setting for bees and other bugs, these natural elements also are used as protective barriers when using treatment products. Concerned about continual improvement and about making people recognize their efforts, the Vignobles Carreau have obtained the Terra Vitis certification, and are also involved in the CIVB collective process called SME (Management System for the Environment).

Ideally located on the the hillsides overlooking the Dordogne Valley Chateau LA GALANTE’s vineyard expands in the town of Beychac et Caillau and Saint-Sulpice et Cameyrac, next to Bordeaux & Libourne.

The vineyard bene ts from a micro-climate with maritime in uences. The sunshine and rainfall are fully regulated, thus optimizing the maturity of the grapes.
