LOIRE VALLEY

DOMAINE DE LA VILAUDIERE

Handed down through several generations, this 15-hectare family estate is located in the charming village of Verdigny, just a stone's throw away from Chavignol. This unique location offers stunning views of the famous Sancerre hill and its vineyards. The vines are over 30-year-old and are grown on two distinct type of soils that give the wine its balance. A mix of clay and limestone called “Terres Blanches” provides complexity and richness, while the “Caillottes”, a dryer blend of gravel and limestone, delivers floral and fruit aromas along with a crisp, refreshing acidity. Catherine and Jean-Marie REVERDY have been practicing sustainable viticulture for over 20 years.

VIGNOBLES GIBAULT

The vineyard extends over 30 hectares, 22 of which are planted with AOC (Controlled Designation of Origin) vines.

Thanks to the different grape varieties and optimum growing conditions of the plots, we are able to offer a full and varied wine range across 2 Controlled Designation of Origin (AOC) areas, Valençay and Touraine.

Chantal and Patrick Gibault take an environmentally-friendly approach to tending their vines in Meusnes. The vineyard has been awarded Terra Vitis environmental certification.

THE wine region -  Flinty clays make up the bulk of the soils, infusing our wines with a delightful mineral note. Our region is bathed in a continental climate under oceanic influence, so the vines are able to thrive amidst mild spring temperatures, plentiful summer sunshine and reasonable rainfall all year round.

DOMAINE DU CEDRE

Created in 1981 by Lucile and Eric Ballif, Domaine du Cedre has never stopped improving in quality. The vines are grown according to sustainable farming rules with great respect for the bio-diversity of the terroir. In the cellar, Eric takes full advantage of his top of the art equipment and uses a mix of traditional and modern winemaking methods.

DOMAINE OCTAVIE

Isabelle & Noe Rouballay own and run this charming small estate in southern Touraine on a plateau between the Loire and Cher rivers at Oisly.

This family-run property is totally focused on producing quality wines. They adhere to the TERRA VITIS approach, which whilst not truly organic, is a system which minimizes the use of artificial fertilizers and pesticides. Domaine Octavie has been in the same family since 1885. Isabelle & Noe are the 5th generation to grow their own grapes and produce their own wine on the estate. With 30 hectares of vineyards primarily devoted to Sauvignon Blanc, the weather is oceanic with continental influences.

The soils are sand over clay with small silex. Noe and Isabelle harvest at optimal maturity, de-stem and press directly. They let the juices settle in low temperature, stainless steel vats overnight where the wines stay on their fine lees until bottling. Isabelle & Noe’s wines are regularly recognized at the national and international competitions.
